Planetary Position and Basic Nature of an Individual

There are three qualities (Gunas) assigned to each planet, Rashi (zodiac sign) and Nakshatra; Sattwik (Sattwa guna),  Rajas (Rajo Guna), and Tamas (Tamo guna)

Sattwa guna is the cause of light and illumination in one's life. It is all about purity. The people who are close to their 'Moksha' will be dominated by sattwa guna in their nature. Each individual has all three gunas in different proportions. Sattwa guna is attached to happiness and peace.

Rajo guna is all about energy, liking and longing. The people born with more rajo guna will have their souls attached to desires. Rajo guna is attached to action.

Tamo guna deals with darkness. Darkness hides knowldge. Tamo guna is attached to negligence and inaction.

Sattwik Planets: Sun, Moon and Jupiter.

Rajaswik planets : Mercury and Venus.
